The healing powers and energies are imparted from the healing source, which I choose to Call Father God and are then channeled through spirit healing guides and through the spirit of the healer onward to the spirit of the patient, so it is "from spirit, through spirit, to spirit" and this in turn heals the physical body and brain. Thus it is called spiritual healing as it is the spirit and any spiritual depletions that receives healing as any physical or mental unwellness or illness and any disharmonies of the mortal mind or body are reflected through the spirit. Thus by healing these depletions of the spirit the physical mind and body including emotions can be healed via the spirit of the patient. So healing can be applied to a patient in a variety of manners and works in this way, from spirit through spirit too spirit. When or if the patient says thanks for healing to me at the end, I always tell them the truth, "do not thank me, for I am only the channel, thank Father God" When you heal your hands might be hot, but when the patient has had enough healing in that area your hands or the patient will go cold and you may feel the energy stops flowing.
Just about any disharmony can be given and benefit from receiving spiritual healing and all channeled healing is both safe and beneficial to receive no matter the condition, there is no harm that will come to any through receiving healing. Channeled healing should be considered as a complementary treatment to other forms of medical and alternative treatments. Healing is not limited to only being given to humans, it can also just as effectively be given to animals or plants or anything that has spirit within or is made up of atoms, as all living things do. Some healers have demonstrated that even a loaf of bread can be healed back to its former freshness using the healing powers, as even bread is teaming with microscopic life which of course has spirit and through the life within, the bread can also be healed. Plus we are beings of energy and magnetic's, all things are all made up of many atoms and molecules that vibrate at differing levels and can also receive healing.
No there is no requirement of faith needed in order to be able to give or receive any kind of spiritual healing and there are many names for spiritual healing such as Reiki but it all comes from the same source and what is allotted to one is fairly allotted to all in the same measure, the only difference that can happen is that some healers are more progressed than others, so the patient can receive more. To Give healing all you need is to pass it on with love and compassion. All one needs is to relax and become attuned to allow the healing energies to flow and be channeled through themselves or to themselves for it to work. The healing powers, energies and rays that are imparted to healers all come from the same source and are all of a comparative nature and benefit. However to have some belief in ones own spirit and spiritual abilities to both give or receive healing does help the spirit to open up to give and receive healing, so developing helps such as meditation and opening the spiritual chakra's when healing, but always protect yourself and ask spirit guides or loved ones to protect you during healing or any other spiritual work or meditation.
Before healing commences healers will need to prepare both themselves and an appropriate healing area, but healing can be given anywhere. Firstly the healers own hygiene is important, odours such as, stale perspiration, bad breath, tobacco, strong perfumes and animal odours can all be very off putting for patients. Also some people do suffer from allergies to plants and animals. Where possible a bath and a clean change of clothes prior to healing can prevent odours and possible allergic reactions. Also the healer should make sure that their clothing is comfortable and loose fitting to allow freedom of movement around the patient. Healers can wear a protective overcoat as a barrier to prevent communicable illnesses either being passed on or contracted. When healing healers will need a place to wash their hands before and after each patient along with other basic amenities.
When healing in a healing sanctuary or at home make it as clean and comfortable as possible and where possible check there is good ventilation when it's hot and heating when it's cold. Providing a nice relaxing atmosphere for the patient is very important as the more a patient can relax the better they can open up to receive the healing. Having some relaxing or meditative music playing quietly in the background can help both the patient and healer to relax. Consider having a few flowers to make the area look nice and feel comfortable, keeping in mind that some patients may suffer from pollen allergies, thus consider using artificial flowers rather than the real thing.
Patient and healer comfort is very important, many healers have a stall for the patients to sit on, this of course does give the healer good all-round access to the patient, but can end up being very uncomfortable for a patient after fifteen minutes or so and many healing's can last anywhere from fifteen minutes to over an hour and the idea is that the patient is able to relax to aid them to except the healing more readily. Also when patience truly relax they sometimes drift off into a light sleep that is sometimes caused by the healing they are receiving, this is good and is a sign that the healing is working...
But inevitably if they do fall to sleep while sitting on a stall, they may well end up falling off or finding themselves uncomfortable and those that do suffer from bad backs really do need the support of a backrest. Using a chair can make it difficult to get to the patient's back, so it is best to sit patient's sideways on the chair at the beginning of the healing and begin by healing the head and back firstly and when finished ask the patient if they would like to swivel round on the chair so they can have a backrest. If a chair is used and it has a hard surface you may consider having a thin cushion for the patient's comfort. Alternatively healers might have or choose to use a healing couch, where patients are able to lay down, although not all patients like laying down, but this is probably the best way of giving healing.
There is also the healers own comfort to take into consideration, as healing sessions may last up to a few hours and involve the healer seeing several patients. Healers may need a break after 3 to 5 patients. The healer should have a low stall to sit on when needed and often having a foot stall for patients to put there feet on to save the healers back is a good idea.
As for amenities there may be a need for a toilet and to have a phone handy at times, either a mobile or one within the sanctuary itself. Of course the last thing the healer or the patient wants during healing is continuous interruptions, therefore it is best wherever possible to have an answering machine and check messages before and after healing or leave the phone off the hook while giving healing and having a notice asking patients to turn off their mobile phones and pagers during the healing.
One other thing that might be considered, especially in a busy healing sanctuary, is laying on a cup of tea for patients after they have received their healing and for healers if they need to take a break. It gives patients the opportunity to have a chat and for some it might be the first time they have had a chance to talk with others for several days and this very opportunity in itself can bring it's own kind of healing to the lonely and to those who might feel left out or neglected in life and gives all a chance to socialise.
Once the healing sanctuary and healer is ready and patients begin to arrive healers might consider keeping a healing card for each patient, this can be filled in with the patients personal details and what they have received healing for on each occasion they visit. Also many healers and healing sanctuaries have a healing book where the names of those who cannot come for healing can be written down and absent healing can be asked for and sent to all in the book who have a need of healing.
Before commencing healing healers should consider having personal liability insurance against malpractice, Insurance companies can be found that insures healers at a reasonable cost. When visiting people in their own homes, consider taking someone with you as a witness or second healer in order to cover yourself and remember if you do not know the patient or their family you never quite know what to expect or what you might be confronted by.
Attunement to the healing powers is greatly about becoming a simple and humble channel who is devoted to giving healing with love and compassion, while having empathy for the needs and suffering of others. The key to good healing is that the healer remains an open channel to allow the healing powers to be channeled and flow most freely through themselves to the patients without inhibiting them in any way. Often it is found that a good healer can associate to the patients needs through having suffered themselves and therefore can become attuned to the patient and allow spirit to heal the patient. It is better if the healer can allow themselves to be used and guided by spirit as a healing instrument that allows spirit to give the most appropriate and effective healing.
When attuning into the healing powers and forces a prayer or thought is often sent out, asking the Gracious Spirit, Father God or what one considers to be the healing source, that the healing powers and rays may be imparted so that they might be received and channeled through the healer to those in need with the help of spirit healing guides or ministers of light that might come to work with us to help pass the healing rays onward to the patient.
At the beginning of a healing service an opening prayer is often said, asking the Gracious spirit Father God that there might be healing given to all present for whatever their needs might be. The individual healer may also ask in their own way to receive the healing powers and that each patient might receive the healing that is appropriate to their needs. It is maybe only courteous and polite in some manner to ask to receive the healing powers and for the aid of spirit guides to help pass the healing onward to the patient, as it is also only polite to say thank you for what has been received at the end of healing.
Once the healer is ready to commence with healing, make sure the patient is comfortable and as relaxed as possible. If the patient is wearing glasses or other such items that may be knocked off or cause a problem for the healer, then ask the patient if they would mind removing such items including asking a patient to remove a coat, however to give healing there is absolutely no need for a patient to remove any more clothing as the healing rays pass easily through clothing. The healer may have a little chat with the patient prior to the commencement of healing, during which time the healer can ask if the patient has any particular problems or needs they wish to receive the healing for. If the patient has not received spiritual healing previously, the healer should briefly explain the process of how the healing works and is applied and the patient should be asked if they are comfortable with the laying on of hands,if they are not comfortable with this hand of healing should be given through the aura.
As the healer commences attunement they should still their mind and heighten their vibration and reach up consciously into the spiritual vibration, as this is done the healer might also build a link with their spirit guides, as healing guides also begin to link with the healer to pass the healing rays. The healer should open themselves as a channel and for those healers who are practiced at attuning into the healing powers, it is a little like they become a receptacle and channel that gradually begins to receive the healing rays and as they build up within, the healer then allows them to flow without any restriction to the spirit of the patient. Often both the healer and patient can sense these energies beginning to flow and the warmth and mild tingling sensations building up that are given off by the healing energies.
For those who are not so experienced, healing works on a different vibration or level and attunement to other spiritual gifts such as psychism or clairvoyants, but the same principle applies in that one has to become attuned to become most effective at channeling the healing powers. As in most spiritual attunements an opening of the appropriate spirits energy centres or chakra occurs, this to some extent is automatic, but healers can consciously open their chakra's if they wish. Most healers do this without being particularly aware of doing so and it becomes fairly automatic with practice when becoming attuned to give healing. For those who are not that accustomed to attuning into the spiritual vibration, it is worth reading the section on opening and closing the spirits chakra energy centres
Once the healer is receiving the healing power and has become attuned, they can commence channeling the healing onward to the patient. This very act of channeling the healing can become a stumbling block for a number of loving and devoted healers, as on occasions so much is their wish to give healing to someone, that they can end up trying to do so from their own spirit and abilities, rather than just allowing the healing energies to freely flow through them from the healing source to the patient. Whilst healing healers should merely be acting as a spiritual channel where spirit can pass healing through the healers spirit to the patient. We as healer should not try to control the healing powers and we should not try to send and give healing from our own abilities, as this inadvertently can begin to block the healing powers and energies that are being channeled through us to the patient.
Our own spiritual healing energies are at best of minimal benefit and therefore healers should try to avoid any form of dictating or controlling the healing, rather they should merely allow all the healing energies to flow through them with their own love and compassion and trust that Father God or the healing source and spirit guides will give what is most appropriate for the patients needs and will channel all what is needed in the most effective way if we remain open enough to allow them to do so. To help yourself open as a channel of the healing powers, you might see yourself as if you are a tap, open yourself like you would open a tap, allowing the healing energies to pass freely through yourself without restricting them in any way...
This allows all the healing being passed by spirit through yourself to go directly to the spirit of the patient. If the patient has specified a problem, then spend a little more time in that region, but we are all beings of spirit and energy and even if you just put your hands on the patients shoulders the healing will go to where it is most needed, but it is good to move round the patient too, I feel. So once attuned to channel effectively all the healer needs to do is place their hands where there is a need and open themselves, allowing the healing to pass through themselves and allowing spirit to do the rest. The healer does not need to visualise colours for specific conditions as again visualising a colour can inadvertently block the healing rays, if we sense a colour that is being passed through us, then we should allow it and leave this up to spirit unless spirit tell us to give a certain colour directly. Healers also should not offer medical opinions as this should be left to a doctor and if a patient is unwell the healer should suggest they see a doctor and the patient should be advised to remain on any medication they might be on and told that spiritual healing is only complementary to orthodox or alternative medicine.
There are questions raised, as to whether it is in anyway possible for a healer to increase and improve the healing powers. The healing powers and forces that are given and imparted by the Gracious spirit, cannot be improved upon in any measures or means that the earthly healer may take in an attempt to improve the benefit of the healing received by the patient. There are some who use tools in healing such as crystals, this does not improve the healing, but it can help to balance the patient and chakra's The healing powers that are imparted are already of optimal benefit and are always what is most suitable to heal the patients needs. Becoming a good healer is not dependent on being a good clairvoyant or psychic; although developing these gifts can be useful to healers. All here can channel healing on a comparable level if they find the right attunement and way of channeling without having to become either psychic or clairvoyant. As with most things some are more suited to giving and more able to attune themselves into the healing powers than others, this applies to all the gifts of the spirit, the rewards are usually found by those who spend the time developing these abilities and gifts.
Those whom are developing the spiritual gifts such as healing may find that after a time they may start being impressed by their own spiritual healing guides and helpers, these guides are drawn and come back to the earthly plane to work with those that wish to be of service, so it is possible that developing healers may if they are not already aware of their healing guides become so, sometimes this can be in subtle ways. When healers become more attuned to working with spirit, the guide may well give the healer impressions of where the patient has a need...
Some of the more clairvoyantly developed healers work with their spirit guides in what is called trance healing, where they allow a spirit guide to fully over shadow them to such an extent that the healer gives over both their mind and body and allows the spirit guide to have full control so that the guide can give the healing or sometimes perform what is known as psychic surgery. However most healers do not work in trance and trance healing is not permitted within many healing sanctuaries, the reason for this is that healers are generally expected to remain consciously responsible for their own actions during the healing. When a very evolved spirit does trance healing it can sometimes be more powerful as the spirit is more developed than we might be.
